چکیده

The Multiple Signal Classification (MUSIC) algorithm has become one of the most popular algorithms for estimating direction-of-arrival (DOA) multiple sources due to its simplicity and ease implementation. Spherical microphone arrays can capture more sound field information than planar arrays. collected multichannel speech signals be transformed from space domain spherical harmonic (SHD) processing through modal decomposition. MUSIC (SHD-MUSIC) reduces dimensionality covariance matrix achieves better DOA estimation performance conventional algorithm. However, SHD-MUSIC is prone failure in low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), high reverberation time (RT), other multi-source environments. To address these challenges, we propose a novel joint beam-space (SHD-BMUSIC) this paper. advantage decoupling signal frequency angle SHD exploited improve anti-reverberation property estimation. In SHD, broadband beamforming converts pressure beam output. Beamforming enhances incoming desired direction SNR threshold as well dimension matrix. addition, 3D array rotational symmetry steering decoupled shape. Therefore, constructed paper allows arbitrary adjustment without need redesign Both simulation experiments practical tests are conducted verify that proposed SHD-BMUSIC robust adjacent source discrimination capability

Acoustic Array Systems: Paper ICA2016-731 Spherical harmonic smoothing for DOA estimation of fully coherent sources

The subspace-based estimation of direction of arrivals (DOAs) of multiple sound sources requires multiple observation data from a microphone array, such that basis of signal subspace can be fully identified. For coherent sources, however, multiple measurements only produce linearly dependent observations, which makes it difficult to separate signal subspace from noise subspace. In order to obta...

Sparse DOA Estimation of Wideband Sound Sources Using Circular Harmonics

Sparse signal models are in the focus of recent developments in narrowband DOA estimation. Applying these methods to localizing audio sources, however, is challenging due to the wideband nature of the signals. The common approach of processing all frequency bands separately and fusing the results is costly and can introduce errors in the solution. We show how these problems can be overcome by d...

Beam-Space MUSIC DOA System Using Phase Shifter

This paper proposes a DOA(Direction Of Arrival) estimation system using chip sized phase shifters and a single ADC(Analogue to Digital Converter) and Rx(Receiver) module under the antenna elements[1]. The proposed system is only controlled by the phase of antenna to find the DOA of target. To obtain the low cost and portable DOA system[2] used as surveillance system in outdoor, we propose a mod...

A Fast DOA Estimation Algorithm Based on Polarization MUSIC

A fast DOA estimation algorithm developed from MUSIC, which also benefits from the processing of the signals’ polarization information, is presented. Besides performance enhancement in precision and resolution, the proposed algorithm can be exerted on various forms of polarization sensitive arrays, without specific requirement on the array’s pattern. Depending on the continuity property of the ...
